His speeches and his books (translated into Italian by Sugarco), however, have raised many hopes and solved so many life situations.
The "reparative therapy" has three different but related problems. I will try to address them in a way comprehensible to all, using the language as simple as possible.

The first problem concerns the existence of a gendered human nature. Men are born male or female and their sexual orientation is naturally oriented towards the opposite sex? And those who experience a sexual orientation towards their own sex have this provided to trauma or family problems related to education, which can be tackled and solved exactly by a reparative therapy, Nicolosi explains his reference to the many cases dealt with during the course of his profession?

Accade così una cosa singolare: tutti devono avere il diritto di proporre qualsiasi orientamento sessuale come normale (gay, lesbiche, bisessuali o transessuali) perché desiderato da qualcuno, ma questo diritto viene rifiutato a chi invece sostiene che esiste una natura sessuata, cioè che si nasce maschi o femmine. Avviene, in pratica, che viene contestato il diritto di proporre l’esistenza di una verità sulla persona, scritta nel cuore dell’uomo da chi lo ha creato, e riscontrabile nella natura. Senza Dio tutto è possibile, scriveva Fëdor Michajlovič Dostoevskij, e di questo passo si chiederà di mettere fuori legge il Magistero della Chiesa che sul punto ha espresso idee precise.

The second issue deals with the freedom. therapeutic problem, namely the right to request treatment. Because those who experience homosexual desires must be helped to externalize their condition (coming out, it's called) and can not be helped to cope with a condition that does not want?
, there is still a serious problem of freedom for the individual requesting the reparative therapy and by the psychotherapist who wishes to pursue. Why Nicolosi and those like him will continue on the path of reparative therapy becomes an object of hate and confrontation without challenge?
I think the conference with Nicolosi, 21 and 22 May can be an opportunity to confront and overcome doubts, uncertainties and misunderstandings about della terapia ripartiva. Purché le proposte di Nicolosi vengano ascoltate e accolte senza pregiudizi ideologici.
